The oldest of 4, Jared, at 20 is now the old man of the band by a few months.
He comes from family who sings and plays gospel and bluegrass
at home together. He started with fiddle at about age 10 and has had instruction in
classical violin along the way. He brings a sweet fiddle sound and tenor vocals and
harmony to the band.
Jared helps out on the family's organic vegetable farm and enjoys making the corn maze in
the fall which draws many to the farm for fresh cider and homemade doughnuts. Come spring,
he helps with the maple sugaring.
Jared has an avid interest in all things mechanical and has restored a couple of tractors as well
as working for a local mechanic. More recently he has been learning cabinet making and construction
carpentry.
He enjoys snowmobiling, tending his egg layers, and raising golden retrievers.
